Sharlene Vanderbilt

In her own words:

"I am a lifelong resident of the Capital District. I attended college for illustration at both Pratt Institute and The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. I’ve taught drawing to young adults in addition to continuing education programs. I have continued to learn and have studied with various local artists.
I worked as a freelance artist for the Carl Company, Tough Traveler, New York State United Teachers, and various other entities. I was an art director for the Tomorrow Companies before I went to work for New York State. I am a current member of the Colonie Art League, the Schenectady Art Society and the Firehouse Artists, an abstract group. I have had work
displayed at the Blooming Artists Gallery, Maybee Farm, Colonie Public Library, Niskayuna Public Library, Berne Public Library, Pruyn House, Studio One (Albany Barn), Turf Tavern (Scotia), The Historic Albany Foundation BUILT Show. I have participated and sold various pieces of my work in both solo exhibitions and group shows."
